STARTING OVER - POST # 8 6 September, 2016

We found a boat that had been on the market 19+ months, and incrementally was being reduced in price . . . as the owner showed us through, we both “ knew” . . .

HE “HAD” OUR BOAT . . . but, the price, was more than we planned on by $5,000.00, and beyond what we could afford, but it was . . . was a . . . well, could we do it?.

On the way home we determined, we’re in trouble” meaning, paying more than we really wanted to pay, but we decided that we would try to get this boat !. . . somehow. Any boat that has been owned and taken care of by someone who has things done right, is a boat that reflects pride of ownership, and is usually owned by people who must sell because of advancing age, financial situation, death, simple life-change or declining health . . . and this was one of those distress sales, —-having been heavily discounted “to sell” (and at 50%-of all 12 of the other comparables on the market), but, due to its remote harbor location, and a "telephone-only" owner-contact both being severe handicaps, it simply got no showings.
