Living in your washing machine… required you to miniaturize yourself to fit into a coffee cup floating in the lid-open extra capacity clothes washer sitting out there in your utility room… the endless sloshing and back-and-forth currents are a way of life in here.
If that is too “Honey I shrunk the kids” for you, you can just buy a boat and live in a Oregon coastal harbor… sameo-sameo but with more room and being normal sized.
Usually, three or so times a year we get three-day weather fronts that set up the washing machine right here at the dock, we are in one of those winter cyclones or “bombs” right now (20-24 December 2022), being on a wide-heavy 40-foot motor launch is “bouncy”, but watching my sailboat brethren on their 40 foot-long narrow keel and mast counter-balanced boats… we live in different worlds… bouncy or side slapping.
Again, we rough ride like a pickup truck on a dirt road with worn-out shock absorbers, those sail boater types are like hitting speed bumps with only two wheels… they should all be wearing helmets ! but, perhaps that is why they live on sailboats… brain damage from earlier head-banging storms.
Over at Skate-Pro the roller derby street skate place, all of their butt guards, wrist-knee-elbow pads, helmets, and gloves are recommended for live-aboard sail boaters. A google search for “CTE” is enlightening, and they ”do” have “For Sale” signs at the hardware store. In the meantime, as I sit here in my washing machine, I am glad I don't live in the blender.
