GREAT LAKES SAND HOODOOS AND NOVEMBER'S WITCHES, WATER SPOUTS AND 50 FOOT WAVES, ICE VOLCANOES AND ICE TSUNAMI... ITS ALL BEEN REPORTED ABOUT RIGHT HERE ON MVSOFEA.COM

These are pictured on lake Michigan on the western Michigan shoreline near St. Joseph, but wherever there is sand, wet wind, ice, and  the right temperature with a wind swirl, the lakes create their own crop circles sort of thing.

Ice petrified totems of sand? Geologists have had a hard time trying to learn about these, and Meteorologists as well... the locals however have seen these for centuries anywhere along the north coast where there is sand, zero degrees, and a turbulent wind area.

The dunelands of Blue Island and the Presque Isle area of Lake Erie, have these too...but these can also be found  in many parts of Europe, and all around the world. Some can reach up to 20 feet high before thawing out.

SPOILER... AS RIVULETS OF WATER DRAIN DOWNWARD THROUGH THE SAND, THE WATER IS HELD SPONGE-LIKE IN A SINGLE AREA, ONCE IT FREEZES AND A WINDSTORM HITS, ALL THE LOOSE SAND BLOWS AWAY...  LEAVING THE HOODOO...  WHEN THE WINDS REVERE IN SUMMER, THE SAND REFILLS, AND WE REWAIT FOR THE WINTER.
