35 FOOT WAVES, BOMB CYCLONES, KING TIDES AND NETTLES - 24 OCTOBER, 2021

 Just to get your mind off the American disaster at the border, in Afghanistan, at the gas pump, the mandates, clot shots, and embarrassing incompetent leadership comes the Nettles, and a bomb cyclone ...

Awakened early 3AM with a roar... like a non-stop very close by passing train, out on deck I realize it is ocean ... the waves are creating a huge surf, this flushes our harbor full of hundreds of soccer ball sized Nettles, just one of the four types of "jellies" we see here in the harbor at different times, the serious gale and voluminous rain bring back rock and roll and a harsh end to our Indian summer.

If you "had" any last minute caulking or paint-varnishing to do, or some last minute tie-down work... you are too late, we got ours done !  even got the log diverter built and in the water before this storm hit.

But, nonetheless, I spent 1/2 a day double tying and adding extra lines everywhere due to the nasty wind, this storm will be non-stop continuous for three days and two nights, which takes a lot out of you, trying to keep up with the gyrations and mysterious things that like to come loose.
